Authorities Suspend Operation for Young Boy Lost in Australia's Wilderness
Australian police have called off the operation for a young boy who has been lost in the outback for nearly several weeks, after additional attempts proved unsuccessful to locate any signs of the youngster.

The child was last seen playing near his residence on a remote farmland close to Yunta, about 186 miles from Adelaide, on late September.
His family member briefly departed for about thirty minutes before looking for him, only to discover the youngster gone, initiating one of the biggest ground and aerial searches in the region's past.
Latest Status
Police - who do not believe foul play - say they will carry on examining, but that the matter has become a "search for recovery".
Earlier, officials temporarily scaled back the search, only to recommence it on recently alongside 80 Australian Defense Force members.
"Commissioner Grant Stevens said police were looking a wider region based on updated analyses from medical and operation experts, rather than any fresh leads."
Operation Obstacles
On recently, authorities stated that the recent operation had not discovered any traces of the boy.
"The situation that the young boy is a young child, the terrain is extremely rough, harsh and affected by variable elements has made the mission demanding and more complex for those involved," authorities said in a statement.
About a vast area - an region roughly double the area of urban center - has now been scanned, and a specialized unit set up recently is expected to continue investigating. Authorities have not ruled out more missions of the location in the future.

The child, who has been portrayed as an explorative but quiet child, was spotted dressed in a dark headwear, light-colored pants, footwear and a azure full-sleeve top displaying a yellow character character.

It prompted police to appeal that individuals discontinue phoning them with their "speculations", and appeal for them to access updates from reliable places.
Relatives Response
Police lately said the boy's relatives remain "strong" despite the tragic situation.
"It's easy to comprehend just how they are feeling... without having answers as to precisely where their child is and what's happened to him. This would be traumatic for every loved ones," Spokesperson authorities said.
Via a spokesperson, the family household has earlier said they are "heartbroken" by Gus's vanishing.
